Enjoy an afternoon with the Chamber Musicians of the Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra. This program features Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf" with narrator, along with works by Jessie Montgomery, Britten, Schubert, Ravel, and more. This inspiring and delightful program is suitable for all ages.
The Orchestra represents 90 years of commitment to Community, Education, and Inspiring Performances. Established as the Dutchess County Philharmonic Orchestra, they gave their first public concert in 1934. Under various forms, the orchestra has a long history of serving the communities in Dutchess, Ulster, and surrounding counties, bringing great music to adults and children throughout the Hudson Valley. Once again, the orchestra musicians renew their commitment to the people of the community by reorganizing as the Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra with Artistic Advisor and Principal Conductor, Maestro André Raphel.
